Shilashmi Thapaliya

The streets were filled with voices bold,
Dreams of a nation in their hold.
But silence fell, the cries turned weak,
When blood was spilled for change they seek.

The builders of tomorrow’s dawn,
Were threatened, beaten, trampled on.
Youthful flames put out by fear,
A future stolen, raw and near.

Speechless hearts, yet louder still,
The pain of loss, the nation’s will.
Though shadows rise and hopes may bend,
The voice of truth will never end.

Their sacrifice shall light the way,
Through darkest night to brighter day.
For every tear the people weep,
Their dream awakes, it will not sleep.
